Then we encourage you to apply to the EYE Entrepreneur of the Year Online Award!
It is a virtual competition, which involves the former participants of the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs programme (both New and Host entrepreneurs) and allows them to share their experience with the EYE network and other stakeholders. It is open to all entrepreneurs of all sectors and backgrounds, who have taken part in a completed, successful EYE exchange, which has started and/or ended in the period 01 January 2019 – 31 December 2020. The competition will be organised in the framework of the 27th EYE Network meeting that will take place online from 18 until 21 October 2021.
To participate, you just need to follow these steps:
- Fill in and sign the Application and consent form.
- Record a short video (maximum length 60 seconds) on your personal experience in the EYE programme and provide a download link in the attached application form.
- Draft a short description of your success story and focus on the question how the EYE programme had a real impact on your entrepreneurial journey.
- Send your video, the description of your success story, and the signed Application and consent form to the following address: eyeawards@erasmus-entrepreneurs.eu
Your
application will be assessed by a panel with members from the European
Commission, EISMEA (European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency) and
the EYE Support Office. The panel will select 5 New and 5 Host entrepreneurs as
finalists. During the virtual competition, the selected finalists will present
their success stories and the audience will vote online for the winner of the
award in each of the two categories: New entrepreneur of the year and Host
entrepreneur of the year.
With the support of the European Commission and the EISMEA, the EYE Support Office will offer to the two winners (New entrepreneur of the year and Host entrepreneur of the year):
- a trip to the next SME Assembly – the most significant event for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe;
- an online subscription to a training provider with the opportunity to choose an online course relevant to their entrepreneurial path.
In addition, all finalists will receive an advisory package with a local Enterprise Europe Network advisor and their success stories will be promoted on our websites and social media (Youtube, Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin, and Instagram).
The deadline for applications is Monday 20 September 2021, 18.00 CET.
