Nicolò Rubele is a 27-year-old ambitious professional with an interesting academic background: from graduating in physiotherapy to continuing his formative journey in mechanical engineering. After an experience as a data analyst for injury prevention, he developed the idea to create a device that helps athletes avoid injuries and helps them train better, by collecting data during training and matches. After discovering the opportunities that the EYE programme represents for aspiring entrepreneurs during a presentation at his university, Nicolò decided to apply with the aim of gaining knowledge from experienced professionals and creating an international network of people with different backgrounds to "contaminate" and improve each other.

Glenn Bibly is an experienced entrepreneur based in Sweden, where he owns and operates his company Qinematic, which provides health and wellness services to individuals and organisations by designing exercise programs that target the specific needs of the individuals.

The 6 months of Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs that Nicolò spent in Stockholm provided him with valuable knowledge and insights from Glenn and his team on creating and running a health sector startup. Nicolò was introduced to all the fundamental aspects of daily management, investments and sales, and how to provide quality customer support, as well as practising software development, data analytics and service design. Under Glenn’s constant guidance and feedback, they worked on the writing of support documentation for Nicolò’s device, the improvement of technical and commercial aspects, data analysis, and the scouting for investors and calls with the aim of creating a broader network, all actions that resulted beneficial for both entrepreneurs.

The experience was positive and successful for both the parties involved. Nicolò gained valuable insights and perfected his technical, marketing and managerial skills. In particular, he deepened his knowledge of the norms that regulate the sector, on how to write the Quality Management System required for a Medical Device, how to write a good Business Plan and how to use social media for brand awareness. In addition, he had the opportunity to expand his network by attending events with Glenn and discovering calls for proposals that could potentially help him start his own business.
